Raised Lacquer

Contemporary illustrations and geometric patterns on gilded backgrounds and/or with metallic details.  The sunflower field scene is painted with layers of precious metals, inks, oil paint, and lacquered to a buttery sheen.  Various other designs are available in this specialised technique.
